( closed ) nightmare

[ the flight back was okay. kinda awkward, still. they made it back home safely, though. it was night time by the time they returned to the apartment, and Aiko was so tired that she was put to bed almost immediately. Gumi had said she was a little tired and gone to her room soon after.

That was a lie. She was wide awake. Wide awake, and alone with her thoughts. After a few hours of laying in bed with no results whatsoever, Gumi got up. Maybe a snack or something would help.

She made her way to the kitchen as quietly as she could, so she didn't wake the other residents of the house, and looked around the kitchen for whatever she could find that seemed like it'd help. Among the hidden things, there was a bottle of sake.

Gumi stared long and hard at it. She'd gotten it a while back. It was being saved, just in case she needed it.

She only wondered for a few moments whether or not now was a good time before taking the bottle and a shot glass to her room. It didn't matter that the sake was warm. It was better than nothing.

She sat down in bed again once she got back to her room and downed a shot of the sake. And another.

Before she knew it, she was asleep.

Unfortunately, it may have been better for her if she'd stayed awake.

It was night time. The moon was full, and it was very bright ... Gumi didn't even need the city lights to see where she was going. She was walking the streets of Tokyo, not quite sure where she was going, only that she was going somewhere ... ]

I don't think I'll be drinking anytime soon. I'll probably give that bottle of sake away. Wonder if Lu and Onii-sama would want it ...

[ props her head up on her hands, elbows on the counter of the cafe bar that they were sitting at. ]

I don't want Ai to see me like that again, and I know Reki hates it when I drink too much. I feel kinda bad. Especially after we'd just gotten back from our America trip.

It was fun. We saw the school again. Visited the pasta restaurant. Everyone there loved Ai.

There were a lot of fireworks at the school, but other than that, nothing blowing up. Which is kinda nice. Reki didn't freak out about something blowing up.

[ if by blowing up, you mean in the literal sense of the term. now, as for emotional things blowing up .... thaaaaaaat might be a different story. ]
